Very disappointed by him I was referred to him by one of his colleagues and looking forward to hear his diagnosis. He did not even bother in examining my hip. None of my questions were answers, he dismiss all of my complains. I left his office feeling so unworthy, and devastated by his lack of sensitivity toward me with no support. There was no empathy shown in him. No reassurance or confidence.

This was my second total hip replacement. Recovery was fantastic!
Able to play golf 6 weeks to the day of surgery with no pain. I would 100 percent recommend Dr Severance. Fantastic surgeon!!!

Dr. Severance was amazing. He inherited my mom's shoulder replacement case and, despite leaving town, he said he'd stay as long as he needed in the night to squeeze her in before leaving. The work he did was unbelievable. His communication was great, his nurse practitioner, Chris Shim, was excellent, and his confidence was solid. We are so thankful he was the one who did my mom's shoulder replacement.

I have had many surgeons in my life being born with the condition I was, none has shown less interest in actually treating and taking care of his patient than this one. I completely regret allowing this man to operate on me and now the blood clot I’m stuck with thanks to his procedure isn’t being treated either. Not once since the surgery has he actually reached to me much less seen me, instead passing me off on his assistant. Disgraceful experience all around.

He's very good at explaining what will be done, but lacks listening skills. Had hip replacement and revision all in the same year as the stem came loose. I complained for two months that something was wrong and kept telling me nothing was wrong, which eventually led to revision. During revision my femur broke so I have plate and screws. I always felt like he was rushing to get out.

Two years since total right hip replacement still have pain and right leg gives out been back several times he keeps telling me there's nothing wrong un able to walk long distance. Now my left hip is going trying to find a different doctor.
