If you like to work around kind, interesting people who are tolerant of everybody's idiosyncrasies and working habits, in a pleasantly homely space with a great kitchen, then the Skiff is a good choice for you.

This is a great place to work, friendly people, comfortable working conditions and a good community.
I've worked at the Skiff for over 5 years and have never regretted having a desk here.
Highlights are comfortable chairs, monitors you can plug into your laptop, separation of quiet and noisy areas, phone booths, superb kitchen space with tea, coffee and regular skiff drinks and pastries.
We have moved the Brighton role-players here and that has worked incredibly well!

I tried a few co-working spaces in Brighton during the pandemic and have settled on the Skiff and stuck with it for a few good reasons: great location in the North Laines for popping out on errands as needed, and just down from the station; every desk has a proper chair and big screen; great people; authentic community vibe including things like show and tells to get to know other's work/interests, games nights, coffee mornings, doodle club... it's all about the community.

The most comfortable and homely co-working space in Brighton. What it lacks in fancy design and full time staff it makes up in friendly people and a relaxed atmosphere. Always great conversation in the kitchen and around the big lunch table.

I'm sort of retired, so am older than most there, but the Skiff is where I go when I have a bit of work and want chat and lunch with a genial crew as well. It's an easy place to concentrate in, but makes so much difference to be able to get up from your laptop and have some coffee and conversation with whoever is in the kitchen area. It's a proper community - from games nights to ski trips.

You only tend to write reviews for things that please you or annoy you. This review is because of how much sanctuary the Skiff has given me over the past 4 years. I really do feel inspired when I work at the Skiff compared to at home. I am employed and the Skiff is a great place for remote workers as well as Free Lancers. It is open early and late, which is a big positive. It is in a superb location in the North Lanes in Brighton - having tried other spaces, the Skiff provides a relaxed yet still professional environment to work in. I can whole heartedly recommend it as a work space.

The Skiff has been a great place to me and my business. The value of having friendly and helpful people to chat about everything from coding issues to politics over lunch should not be underestimated.

If you're a freelancer, small business owner or someone that works remotely - I can't recommend The Skiff and it's wonderful community enough.

A great co-working space, with a focus on community. It has an open plan lower office and kitchen, where people stop for free coffee and tea and a chat. Upstairs are three smaller office rooms, more suitable for quieter working and a couple of meeting rooms, which can be booked by members. The atmosphere is friendly and informal, there is are free after-works drink every other Friday and a weekly show-and-tell session where Skiff members can share their latest project or find out what other members are up to.
